ClipBar requires Accessibility permission to register global hotkeys and optionally paste for you. This is a standard macOS permission for productivity apps. No other permissions are needed.

Yes, ClipBar is completely free and open-source. No ads, no subscriptions, no data collection. Ever.

Open ClipBar settings from the menu bar icon and click the hotkey recorder to set any key combination you prefer.

Quit ClipBar from the menu bar, then drag it to Trash. To remove all data, also delete ~/Library/Application Support/ClipBar/.

You can exclude specific apps like 1Password or banking apps from clipboard monitoring. ClipBar also supports Memory Only mode where nothing is written to disk.
